Nature's Calcium ( Eggshell powder)

According to the Nutritional Research Council (NRC) guidelines, a 15kg adult dog requires 1000mg Calcium, whereas a 5kg adult cat requires 200mg Calcium.

Most commercial pet foods already have the Calcium sorted, and pets that are raw fed often have raw bones or as part of prey-mixes.

To supplement a home-cooked diet with Eggshell powder, assuming no other sources of calcium,

➡️ 15kg dog will need 1/2 teaspoon daily,

➡️ 5kg cat will need slightly under 1/8 teaspoon daily.

Calcium is an essential mineral, not just for healthy bones & teeth, but also allows muscular contraction & relaxation. 

*Muscles include both skeletal & smooth muscles; skeletal muscles for mobility, smooth muscles line internal organs such as stomach, intestines as well as urinary bladder wall.

A 120g jar should last, approximately:

🐶 15kg adult dog = 7 weeks,

🐱 5kg adult cat = 32 - 34 weeks.
